Shopping Session: talk to Dewey while you shop
Tap Shop on the Lists tab, then say “got milk”, “what’s left in dairy?” or “done shopping”. Items check themselves off in aisle order.
Available on Family Plus.
- In the store, open the Lists tab and tap Shop (or the cart icon at the top of a shopping list). Pick one or more lists.
- Talk as you go: “got milk”, “grab two of the eggs”, “what’s left?”, “what’s left in dairy?”, “skip the avocados”, “done shopping”. Tapping or typing works too.
- The list is grouped by aisle in walk order (produce, dairy, bakery, and so on, with everyday Indian grocery vocabulary understood).
- Every turn is saved as text so you can read the trip back afterwards and see what got skipped. Transcripts are deleted automatically after 90 days.
Dewey speaks replies out loud on the web and on phones running app version 1.0.1 build 58 or later. On older phone builds the replies show on screen; update the app from the store.
Most of what you say is understood on our servers without any AI call; only the unusual phrases go to the AI, and they count toward the shopping allowance shown in Settings → AI usage limits.
