Dewey, the AI assistant
Ask in plain language or hold the mic and say several things at once. Dewey adds, schedules, answers and suggests, and tells you when it is guessing.
Dewey is the AI assistant inside Day2Day, powered by Claude from Anthropic. Day2Day labels Dewey as an AI assistant wherever it appears.
Where to find it
- The bar at the top of Home: type or hold the mic.
- Dewey suggests card on Home: Day2Day learns your household’s rhythm and proposes what to add next, always with the reason. One tap to accept, one to dismiss.
- Shopping Session on the Lists tab. Shopping Session.
- Siri on iPhone for quick adds.
What you can say
“Add milk and eggs to groceries”, “remind Sam to take the bins out Thursday”, “what’s on this weekend?”, “plan the beach trip”. Say several things in one breath; Dewey routes each one.
What Dewey sends to the AI
Your message plus your household’s list names, tasks, due dates and member first names. Never your location, dates of birth, passwords or payment details. Replies can be wrong; review what Dewey added.
Daily allowance
Every plan includes a daily AI allowance; Family Plus is higher. Settings → AI usage limits shows today’s usage, and Settings → Your AI key lets you bring your own Anthropic key to skip the caps. Dewey says I’ve hit today’s limit.
