Lists and items: create, assign, repeat

Shared lists for groceries, errands and chores. Assign, prioritise, set due dates and repeats, or keep a list private.

Create a list

Open the Lists tab and tap the plus. Give it a name and an icon. A list is shared with your whole household unless you mark it private, in which case only you see it.

Add items

  • Type them in, one per line.
  • Speak them: hold the mic on Home and say several at once (“milk, eggs, call the plumber Thursday”). Dewey puts each on the right list and sets the date it heard.
  • Scan a receipt or a handwritten list. Receipt and list scanning.

Make an item a task

Open any item to assign it to a member, set a due date, a priority, and a repeat (daily, weekly, monthly). Assigned items appear on that person’s Items tab and in their morning brief.

Finish and tidy

Tap the checkbox to complete. Completed items move out of the way; deleted lists and items sit in Trash for 14 days (Settings → Privacy & Data → Trash) in case you change your mind.
