Your household,
handled.

Day2Day gives every adult in your home their own view of the day — what's on, what's owed, what you're about to run out of. This guide gets you from install to "it's actually working" in about fifteen minutes.

1 · Get the app

Install & sign in.

Day2Day runs on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web — the same household, synced across all of them. Set up once, then sign in anywhere with the same email.

💻 Web
Chrome · Safari · Edge
1Go to familyday2day.com and choose Sign in.
2Everything works here: lists, calendar, decisions, Dewey, scanning.
3The daily push rituals — brief, chore pings, evening wrap — need the phone app. Use both.

The one step that makes it click

Add a second adult right after setup, from the Family tab. Day2Day is a coordination tool — with one person it's a to-do list. The morning brief, decisions, chore pings and the fairness report all only mean something once two of you are on it. Every plan covers your whole household, so there's never a reason to leave someone out.

2 · First fifteen minutes

Six steps, in this order.

Deliberately sequenced — each one makes the next more useful.

Set your morning brief time during setup. Your first brief arrives the next morning at that time, not immediately.

Add the other adults from the Family tab — share the link or QR. Everyone sets their own password.

Make one real list. Groceries is the usual first one. Add a few things by voice: hold the mic and say several at once — Dewey routes each to the right list.

Assign one real chore to someone else and have them tap it done. Watch the ping arrive. That's the loop the whole product is built around.

Start a Decision — "pizza or pasta?" It pops up on everyone's Home, the tally updates live, and the winner is recorded so nobody re-litigates it.

Add a calendar event with an RSVP, then open the notifications bell to see everything land in one place.

3 · What's included

Family Basic and Family Plus.

Every household starts on Family Plus, free for 60 days, then chooses Family Basic or Family Plus. Both cover your whole household — we never charge by household size. Family Basic is a complete daily tool; Family Plus adds depth, not seats.

Family Basic

The whole daily ritual — this is the part that makes the app stick.

Morning brief — one personalized push per person at the hour your household chooses: their events, their tasks, what needs attention.
Evening wrap — what got done, and a head start on tomorrow.
Today card — ranked insights on Home: overdue, double-bookings, unowned work, birthdays coming up.
Dewey suggests — Day2Day learns your household's rhythm and proposes what to add next, always with the reason why. One tap to accept, one to dismiss.
Shared lists & tasks — assign, prioritise, set due dates and repeats.
Shared calendar — events, reminders, RSVPs, plus subscribe to any iCal/webcal feed (school, work, sports).
Decisions — quick household votes with a recorded outcome.
Dewey AI — ask in plain language, or hold the mic and say several things at once. Includes an everyday AI allowance.
Receipt scan — snap a grocery receipt and items check themselves off.
Notifications inbox — a categorised bell with deep links.
Search + offline sync across iOS, Android and web; Siri on iOS; share-into-app on iOS and Android.
30 days of history.
Family Plus

Everything in Family Basic, plus the depth. No extra seats — more capability.

Chores, points & rewards — turn effort into points and redeem them for what adults actually want back. Opt in per person; nobody is put on a leaderboard.
Fair rotation & the weekly load report — see who actually carried the week, then rebalance it in one tap.
Places & store reminders — save the stores you use; get reminded on arrival what's on the list. The location match happens entirely on your phone and is never sent to us.
Shopping Session — on the Lists tab tap Shop (or the cart icon on a shopping list) and talk to Dewey as you go: "got milk", "what's left", "done shopping." Items check themselves off, the list is grouped by aisle in walk order, and every turn is saved as text so you can read the trip back. Works by tap or type too.
List scanning — photograph a handwritten list and it becomes a real one.
Calendar import by PDF or photo — upload the school flyer; Dewey pulls out the dates.
AI event prep — an upcoming trip or appointment becomes a backward-planned prep list.
Trip planning — turn a shopping list into a multi-stop Maps route.
AI poll suggestions — Dewey drafts the options for a Decision.
Full history — no 30-day limit.
Higher daily AI limits across every AI feature.
The Planning Module — a weekly Huddle, meal plan → groceries by store, and a two-ledger chore board. Part of Family Plus, enabled per household on request.

Not sure which you're on? Settings → Plan. Family Plus features stay visible but locked, so you always know what's behind the upgrade.

4 · Getting more out of it

Six habits from households that stick.

Patterns we see in families where Day2Day actually lasts past week two.

Set the brief for when you actually wake up, not when you'd like to. A brief that lands while you're asleep gets swiped away unread, and the whole product hangs off that one push.
Put the recurring stuff in once. Bins, meds, the standing Thursday thing. Recurrence means you set it up a single time and stop being the one who remembers.
Attach a store to a list. "Groceries" becomes "Costco", and with Family Plus the list finds you when you arrive instead of you remembering to open it.
Shop with Dewey instead of the screen. On Family Plus, tap Shop on the Lists tab once you're in the store, then just say "got eggs" or "what's left in dairy?" as you walk. The list is already in aisle order, and the log means you can check afterwards what got skipped.
Let a Decision settle it. Anything that would otherwise be forty messages — dinner, the weekend, who's driving. The recorded outcome is the point.
Read the load report before it becomes an argument. It's easier to rebalance a week that's tilting than to relitigate one that already went wrong.
5 · Good to know

A few honest details.

Day2Day is for adults. Every member must be 18 or older — there are no child accounts and no parent-administered profiles. You can absolutely coordinate about your kids: their events, appointments and the tasks attached to them all live here. They just aren't users.
Available in the United States to start.
The brief and wrap run on a schedule. Your first brief lands the next morning at your chosen time.
Private by design. Your data is never sold and never used to train anyone's model. Private lists stay private to you. Store reminders match your location entirely on your phone. Export or delete everything from Settings → Privacy & Data, any time.
There's no messaging in Day2Day — that's deliberate. You already have somewhere to chat. Decisions and task @-mentions cover the coordination that actually needs a reply.
